A content UX designer and leader, my goal is to put the user first, creating experiences that are enjoyable and straightforward.

I started my career as an English major graduate, looking for jobs where I would actually use my degree.
I’m proud to say that I have 20 years of experience in writing and 15+ years in content design, and I’ve used my degree in every job I’ve had. My first two jobs were writing for children, and there is no better way to learn how to write clearly and concisely than writing for 8 year olds.
I’ve worked across varied industries, including marketing, automotive, health care, in software and hardware, preaching the good word of active voice and involving content design from day 1 of a project.
I’m fascinated by why users make the decisions they do, so my work is always data-driven. I believe the strongest teams are cross-functional, and that every designer should be partnering with research, product, and engineering to create the best outcomes.
When I’m not working, I continue to flex my creative muscles through costume design and sewing, specializing in historical clothing.
